A different kind of marriage book
There are so many marriage books out there but I don't think I've seen one that specifically relates your marriage to a fortress. I like that concept so reading the first impression of this book was interesting. Just reading through even the table of contents had me interested.
Honestly the introduction didn't really pull me in, reading a story about a hurricane makes sense in the context of the book but I would have rather had an actual introduction to know what I was about to read, save the stories and examples for further into the book.
This book is written to deal with the challenges couples face I their marriage and how struggles ought to push them together, rather than pull them apart, if they stick it out and fight through it. Maturity of a relationship does not come easily, nor should it. This book seems realistic yet optimistic in how to deal with the storms of life.
