This book's title promises a lot. Perhaps if a reader is a young adult and health, money, or climate-change weather disasters seem like things that only happen to old people or people in other places, then the "Takeaway" bullet points at the end of each couple's sad story will be helpful. I applaud anyone for spending the time to write out enough words to form a book and do a good enough job to get the book published, but the takeaways seemed so generic to me. Talking with your partner about fears and basically being grateful for what good you do have (left -after your personal catastrophic life event) are not new or unique ideas. Even though I believe that one's faith and religion (any religion) can be a source of comfort to a person, I do not feel that this book has a magical formula. It may quote Christian Bible passages, but those alone are not the formula for the promised "Fortress."
