Granted, I am not the target audience of this book, not being a Christian and all. But I can set aside religious differences for good content. This, however, is not it. Reading this First Look, I felt like one red flag was being paraded after the other: pull-yourself-up-by-the-bootstraps mentality; women “serving” men; the fallacy that one’s fight against illness doesn’t depend on money. The only positive aspects could be covered by what’s known in non-Christian spirituality as “radical acceptance” and “good communication” - no Bible verses needed.
