Where do I begin?!!! This book was a surprise! So damn good! When I received it in the mail from Bookishfirst (I won a copy) I hesitated to read it because it wasn’t my typical genre. After looking at it for several days the guilt trip set in and I began to read. Once I started i was hooked! The magic in the story was crazy good, once again magicians and magic not in my wheelhouse, and the suspense killed me! There is a murder, a horrific murder in the first couple of pages. So gross! A killer is loose and a “normal” detective is hired to solve the murder at a school for mages. Ivy is the best! She is “normal”, smart, honest, and loves her wine!! Her sister, Tabitha, is a teacher at this magical school. Ivy and Tabitha are twins but only Tabitha has the power. This story has horror, magic, suspense, twists. I highly recommend this unusual mystery. If I liked it you will too!!
