Not to be harsh but I was thoroughly disappointed at the end of this book. I can't really even begin to explain what fell short. I liked the characters and the magic presented in this book however, I feel more of a background on the magic could have been given.
The plot was incredibly entertaining and I think if there was more of a description given for magical procedures and the world in which mages existed I could relate better. I didnt care for the style of the writing but the characters were warm and relatable. I found myself wanting to know more.
As for the cover, I instantly loved it. It's so eye-catching and bright. It's truly what made me interested in seeing what this book had to offer.
