I initially picked up this book because of the cover art. The cover is tarot card reminiscent and this drew me in. I read this book in a matter of days as I was hooked. The idea of a murder mystery set in a school of magic is something I have yet to come across. I also enjoyed the dynamic between the two sisters and how they would have to come together to solve the mystery. I also think that the descriptions of the school itself were vivid and conjured images of ivy league schools. I think this was an easy read and I found myself looking to pick it up again as soon as I set it down. The biggest thing that drew me to it was that one sister was magical and the other was not. I enjoyed this because by the end, Ivy realizes that she doesn't need magic to do her job and do it well. Her detective skills are a unique skillset she possesses that set her apart from her sister. Overall, I really enjoyed this book!
