This book is about not losing yourself despite how hard the world pushes against you making you face the truth about many things including what you believed you thought. It pushed ivy to see how much she wanted magic despite her saying she didn't for many years and pushed against her even more making her lose herself as she fights to uncover a mystery seeing as she is one of the main detectives. This book is a great mystery book but it is also fantasy because you see her deal with her magical sister who learns and teaches at a magical school. there is really something for everyone in this book and i recommend it one hundred percent because not only is it well written but it is also a funny too.
