It was difficult for me to get into this one. The main character was very unlikeable right off the bat, and I never got over it. Even as I found out a bit more about her as I went along, the initial introduction was just too bad to recover from. The main story was interesting involving the murder case, and after the 3/4 mark I wanted to know the twist - but otherwise I was a bit bored. It did have some surprises, and at the end I was torn that I didn’t like it more. However, the writing was disjointed, and things seemed thrown in without planning or reasoning. In a who-done-it type of story that is even more glaring. It was distracting, and not in a mysterious & fun way where it leaves you guessing, in the way that you never were able to answer why everything happened the way it did. It could’ve been more fleshed out and had potential to be a great book! It just left me wanting.
