You had me at "origami Presbyterian"
This is now in my to be read pile as a guilty summer pleasure. The "Prologue" was hilarious, at least until the murder. If that weren't enough of a hook, the change of voice from young-adult-light-hearted-witchcraft to the gritty neo-noir of the first few chapters made me long for these worlds to collide. Mix in a sympathetic, if rough, narrative voice and this seems perfect for devouring on a summer afternoon.
