Full disclosure: I'm not typically a fantasy-reader type. Goblins, ghouls, vampires, anything that does not even remotely resemble real-life typically bores me to tears. When presented with Magic For Liars, I was a bit skeptical that it would be a book that would encourage me to read it. Thus, was I surprised when I found myself practically rushing through the sneak peak as fast as my eyes could whip across the screen! The combination of a detective novel mixed with fantasy was much more compelling to me than others of the magic realism type like the Night Circus. This is a novel I would very much look forward to getting to read and experience the full story as soon as possible. My eyes can't wait to fly across the page!
