I think this is a really creative premise. I like how the main character has no access to magic and will have to face someone who’s proficient with it. I don’t like that it references Harry Potter twice within fifty pages, it feels unnecessary. The large exposition at the beginning is annoying and hopefully the author doesn’t do it throughout.
