This felt like Fables without the fairytale animals - and I love that!
A murder mystery in a mages school- the prefect combo of my two favorite genres, and I don’t believe Ivy is going to rely on magic to solve this, she’s going to use her wits and skills to help to carry rack this case. The first chapters were intriguing and a fast paced read. Ivy is the kind of character I can get behind, she’s or invincible but she’s plucky and I can’t wait to see her tackle this case.
The cover art really sets this apart from other fantasy novels- no gold gilded cursive and swirling mysterious fog in sight! Kudos!
