Oh the space setting and the academy reminds me so much of the Skyward series by Brandon Sanderson. It also reminds me of Bonnie and Clyde with Shane and Ava's relationship, though it seems their relationship is not romantic, and is more of a partnership. I'm curious to see what the secret is.
