I really liked the idea of a sci-fi novel based on Bonnie and Clyde! While I wasn't necessarily a huge fan of the dynamics between Shane and Ava, I think the inspiration behind the novel helps explain that a bit. The world-building is interesting, and it seems like the author starts the book off in a way that leaves open many possibilities. Overall, this excerpt was pretty good!
