I dabble every now and then into the scifi genre, but this one captivated me from the very first sentence.
I, also, enjoy the multiple POV's int he story. It adds a little mixture to the story. (I think)
Now, I do like Cyrus. He seems like a good guy with his head in the right place, for the most part. The author describes him worrying and having like a responsibility for being valedictorian cadet and it makes the character relatable.
I am not sure what I think of Shane yet. He's kind of a roll of the dice for me. I would love to see how his character arc develops.
Now, Ava, I like. She's quick and in several ways dangerous. Seeing her at her age, doing what she does, is like a thrill to keep you on your toes.
Shane is, I feel, the chaos to that.
I can't wait to see how their story goes.
