💭Thoughts:
This was a very slow burn mystery. I managed to stay engaged, but wished for a bit more action and a bit less dialogue. I enjoyed the concept of the story. A locked room style mystery involving a bunch of young adults on a boat at sea. The author did a great job making everyone look guilty. Though I feel ultimately, the plot twists and ending were very predictable.

This is a random point, but bothered me about the story. Several of the characters were doing meth, which I thought was a really weird choice by the author. I feel like of all the drugs meth seems very unrealistic for college students. Maybe I’m wrong, but it really stuck out like a sore thumb to me.

I did think the author tied all the loose ends up well at the end of the story. Everything that happened seemed plausible and not completely unrealistic, like a lot of mysteries.

Overall, an interesting premise for a YA mystery. I wanted more from the story, but still a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me.
