This was a quick YA thriller I read in one sitting. It's 384 pages but felt a lot shorter than that. I wish it had felt more like it's length. It was enjoyable and I'm always looking for new YA thrillers but it didn't feel like it had anything new. There were twists but nothing I haven't seen before. The cruise murder misery was a fun aspect but the way the characters interacted with one another was so unrealistic, so many of the plot lines would never have happened in real life. I do really like the whole semester at sea idea, just think it could've been pulled off better. This felt like lower young adult and would have been better if it felt more real and older. There was also a lot of drama that I didn't care about and so much skirting around telling the reader what actually happened in the past to be causing certain events in the present to occur.
