I will admit, this book definitely had a slow start. Especially since the back blurb and the prologue made it seem like it was really gonna dive right in (pun intended). That being said, once it did start, it never stopped until the very end and had me on thr edge of my seat.

If I'm being honest, I was able to figure out some of the twists before the main character did. But the majority of them surprised me, especially the biggest one of them all. The twists all made sense though, know of them felt like they were thrown in just to be used as shock value.

I really liked how the different character relationships and arcs played out over the corse of the story. Those also felt like they had very natural progression.

If I had to complain about anything, it would be how whining Jade came across in the first 100 pages or so. I get that she was hurt, but it was like the only thing she ever wanted to talk about was how she jusy didnt understand.

Overall though this book was VERY well done and I would definitely pick up another from this author.
