Lying in the Deep is a mystery that takes place on a Semester at Sea-inspired cruise ship. It has everything a great mystery needs: jealousy, love, and betrayal. The main character Jade is more than ready to go on the semester cruise after her boyfriend leaves her for her best friend. Unfortunately, while boarding the ship she sees her ex and her ex-best friend also boarding. Will it be possible for her to deal with this, or will she do something she might regret? She does meet a great character named Felix who may steal your heart. Once you get over that Jade is not an altogether nice person and she is not a likable character, you can really roll through this. The lies and misdirection will keep you guessing up until the end and even then you may be in for a surprise. This is a smart thriller/mystery that creates a really interesting plot. The setting of the cruise ship adds to the tension of the whole situation. It is a great story and I look forward to reading more by this author.
