This book starts off strong, with an eye-catching cover reminiscent of Jessica Goodman or Holly Jackson's YA thrillers. The prologue also starts and ends with a bang, describing a room covered in blood and a protagonist who isn't so unhappy the victim is dead. Some of the character descriptions play in to teenager/young adult stereotypes, but what are stereotypes if not based into reality? From the prologue alone, I'm eager to see what happens next in this book and want to read the whole thing, but once we see the ship and are introduced to more characters it becomes even more exciting.
