The set up: describe the likely death of a girl who the main character hates, then go back in time and tell you exactly why you too want her dead. I love this kind of storytelling, and the hatred for Lainey is visceral. I feel like something else is going on here and I can't wait to read more! I don't like the cover much unfortunately, though it's easy to guess what the book's about looking at it.
