I didn’t know this was a graphic novel when I did my first impression, maybe I overlooked that detail. So I was surprised when I received a copy and realized it was graphic. This is my first graphic novel and it made me nostalgic for the old comics in the paper.
The story is super cute and it hooks you, making it an easy read and the graphics are amazing! The plot of a girl coming into womanhood and learning about liking boys is such a needed story and in this format makes it easy to teens to consume. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story as an adult, but I would definitely let my daughter or son read it when they are in the early teen ages and I think they would absolutely love the art that the story has to go along with it.
The books ending is wholesome. It’s wonderfully done and doesn’t leave you feeling like you missed something.
Truly a wonderful work of art!
