First I want to say that what drew me to the story in the first place was the art. The start of using bright happy colors and then shifting to a toned down color palate just for us to come back with yet another bright color palette. This represents the emotional rise and fall of Val. She was once a happy girl until her life was turned upside down and she had to learn about the real world and her which is a beautiful but hurtful thing to occur. The story has created this beautiful dynamic that many people have gotten to learn about seeing past the lies an see that sometimes people hurt those they want to protect. This was an interesting lesson to learn and to see on between family members and those who are closest to you. I can’t say anymore about his book other than the fact that it’s a beautiful story. I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy this book and see how special it is.
