Val keeps a tradition of giving out cards and blessings for her classmates and friends on Valentine's Day every year with the "help" of her imaginary friend "Saint V" the Cupid. Until she's in high school when things don't go the way she plans after handing out her handmade cards. Val's classmates aren't accepting of this and she thinks she's made things worse when even her father, who loved getting her annual cards tells her to "grow up." Then Val's grandmother comes to take her to church where Val learns that her imaginary friend isn't how he really looks. Then her grandmother reveals the truth about her late mother. One that shatters everything she's believed in her whole life, and most of all, is her belief in love.

The story pulls you in, but I think some might not like the art style or the coloring. The colors are a little depressing, which does well to show how Val is experiencing all these emotional changes. The typography in some places also may be difficult to read.
