This first impression ended at the perfect spot to make me want MORE! I was expecting a straightforward rom-com based on the cover, but I'm so intrigued by the way the story started with a childhood flashback. The reveal of the family drama explained so much but also left me wanting way more answers!!
I love the way the color was used: light, pastel, and joyful in childhood, then dark, grey, and monotone when teenage years hit. I also love the inclusion of Vietnamese and the diversity of the characters. I can't wait to read more of this complex romantic mystery!
