So I feel like Val one hundred percent, so suffice it to say I found this an intriguing concept. I will fully admit, I teared up just reading this excerpt. I hate that Val was lied to, and that her father is so alone, and all of it- my heart just broke for the whole family. So obviously this book is going to be a win. Add to it, the illustrations are next level gorgeous, and I NEED this book in my life!
