I was so excited to see that Gene Luen Yang had a new book coming out and now I see it's a partnership with Leuyen Pham which is even better! After reading the First Look, I am pumped to read this book. I love the sweetness in Val's heart as she prepares and passes out her Valentines, and I'm intrigued about how she will process her peers being less receptive to the idea of valentines. But the mystery of why Val's dad kept the secret about why her mother was gone for so many years has me very intrigued. Plus, the Cupid and Grandma characters seem like they will bring a lot of humor to the story too. I would love to read more!
