I was kind of surprised to see some magical realism in this graphic novel with the addition of Cupid. But I guess that's one way to show the protagonist's innocent belief in love and add a little bit of flavor to this YA love story. So long as it does not turn her into a Manic Pixie Dream Girl, I am on board.
