I’m immediately drawn in by the cover of this story, it has vibrant colors and has the main character and presumably her love interest. I think this first look gives a perfect intro into the story and some good insight on the main character. Valentina’s favorite holiday is Valentine’s, and is even named after it and puts a lot of thought and effort into sharing her love with others. She’s inspired by what she thinks is a great love story (her parent’s), but at the end of this excerpt we find out that this grand love story is not true. She’s been lied to her whole life, thinking her mother was dead, but her mother actually just left her and her dad. I really want to read more and see how this development changes her perspective of everything and especially Valentine’s Day. I’m also hoping that she’ll keep her live for the holiday and find someone for herself when she’s older.
