First of all, the art is amazing--so expressive and detailed. I was hooked immediately by Valentina and had to keep reading to find out more about why she thinks Valentine's Day is so special. The drama continued to heighten as first her friend thought her card-making and giving was silly, then her classmates reacted opposite to how she'd hoped, and then her dad reaction broke my heart. I can't wait to read this graphic novel!
