Thank you to Bookish First, Celadon Books, Joshua Field Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus for an ARC of Love People, Use Things: Because the Opposite Never Works. I always state this but I don't give away spoilers in my reviews.
I have read every book by The Minimalists and will continue to do so. Their books have made me a minimalist but more importantly, have made my life so much easier and more fulfilled.
Love People, Use Things was like an updated refresher with current examples in it for me. I still learned more about minimalism by reading it.
A couple of things that really stood out to me:
p.23 Every possession I, as a minimalist, own serves a purpose or brings me joy. Everything else is out of the way.
p.60 If there is a core message about minimalism, it's this: you probably don't need that.
I also really enjoyed the parts that included financial info about Dave Ramsey and his daughter Rachel Cruze. I also follow Dave Ramsey and am in solid financial shape from doing so.
I really can't recommend this book enough. If you don't know about minimalism, this book will teach you. If you do, it will refresh you. If you think minimalism is about owning as little as possible, this book will correct you.
Love these two writers and am so thankful they continue to write.
