This work simplifies everything too much and feels belittling. Like everyone is bogged down in the monotony of life because they choose to be, because they chose to buy things instead of investing in a future and a fulfilling life. It completely ignores the larger monetary issues facing people and the reasoning for buying 'things' to begin with. I am not at all a fan of glorifying losing everything as being 'freeing'.
