I liked the title of this and the ideas it put forward as it is very clear we live in an extremely materialistic world which I would like to change. However, a few things bothered me not least the idea of putting everything you no longer want or need into a skip. That means landfill and dumping our excesses which seems to me to be very selfish. Would I like a more minimalist way of life? Yes, but not at the expense of the environment, maybe later in the book other ideas are suggested but I think that selling or donating would have to be a part of my minimalistic journey.
