Good title, but why is this book needed?

I wholeheartedly support people eschewing consumerist culture and downsizing their belongings (if the latter brings them joy). But I often think influencers in that space overcomplicate things, and I'm afraid this book does that (and is a bit too self help-y for my personal taste).

I also really don't love when influencers in the minimalist movement encourage acts like filling a dumpster -- I personally find that so wasteful and environmentally unfriendly (surely at least some of the clothes, toys, books, DVDs, CDs, electronics, utensils, plates, cups, mugs, pet accessories, tools, furniture, and exercise equipment mentioned in the excerpt were in good shape and might have found a good new home. Not to mention, you're really not supposed to put electronics that can contain hazardous materials in the regular trash!).

I think the cover is appropriate to the book itself.
