I didn't know what to expect when I started reading Love at First by Kate Clayborn, but I loved this book! Most of the romance I read is super dramatic and relies on a lot of miscommunication, which I can't really stand. This book used some of the tropes for plot and such, but I've never read a book that translated the more mundane and tender feelings/thongs in real life relationships. I was constantly squealing in my seat because of how cute the romance was. There were so many moments in this book (in so many of this author's books, in fact) where I just died quiet little deaths because of how much I was made to feel.

This book has some more heavy and darker themes too outside of just romance and love. Love at First was about self discovery, learning to be and accept yourself, whilst dealing with losing someone, and all the grief, heartbreak and sometimes anger/resentment that comes with that.

Overall, if you're looking for a cute but hard hitting romance to read, then give Love at First a shot!
