Love at First was a fun, funny, heartwarming story that I couldn’t put down.

5 stars! I loved Nora and Will’s journey so much!

Kate Clayborn’s newest book was full of hilarious and tender moments and some of the most relatable characters I’ve seen in a contemporary romance in a while (hello, remote work and video calls). The leads were interesting in their own rights, but some of the secondary characters—and their interactions with Will and Nora—were stand out moments in the book for me. (Will and Gerald’s friendship was perfection.) The humor was skillfully written—adding levity to the right moments in a realistic voice, and the romance was well-paced, sweet, and passionate without being sappy. The vulnerability shown by the characters added a deeper, more meaningful layer to the love story.

The feature of the book I enjoyed most was the third person narration. It achieved the goal of following both lead characters without using the alternating first person narration that seems overused to me these days. Further, it made the most vulnerable moments of the book incredibly impactful.

Kate Clayborn is quickly becoming one of my favorite romance authors. Her prose is witty and lyrical and her storytelling is pitch perfect. I can't wait for her next book!
