This book seems like it has the same magically romantic potential to it like the movie Sleepless in Seattle. I love the idea that someone could fall in love with another person just on the sound of their voice or the lilt of their laughter.

The author pulls you into the story immediately and makes you want to explore these characters’ lives even more. In particular I’m curious about Will’s story. What happened that day after his uncle turned him and his mother away? Why did he give up the things in his young life that mattered to him? Why did the girl’s voice he heard on the balcony above beguile him so?

I also like the impression that I got that this is a family story as well. I’d like to read more about Will and his family as well as meet Nonna. I’m sure there’s a good old fashioned Italian grandma story there!

All in all this story seems like a charming romantic tale with some family drama thrown in as well.
