This was just the book I needed. Sometimes we get so deep into heavy books, we need to read something like Love at First.
Will and Nora want different things. Will is pragmatic. Nora is sentimental. Once you start reading, you know far before they do that what they need is each other.
Love at First has total She Loves Me vibes (inspo for The Shop Around the Corner and You’ve Got Mail). Will and Nora start as total adversaries and the back and forth is fun to read. All of the side characters (Nora’s building of neighbors and Will’s boss) are the real treat of the story. All in each other’s and everyone else’s business, they give new meaning to listen to your elders. They are all witty with individual, amazingly unique personalities and I felt affection towards each and every one.
Love at First is a “Will They, Won’t They?” at it’s finest. It will have you groaning in second hand embarrassment, mumbling out loud with advice over what they should or shouldn’t do, and maybe even blushing a little at the wonderfully written sexy scenes. This was a cute and quick read and the perfect happy book.
