Just when you think this is another meet-cute kind of book, bam! The male lead gets pelted in the head with cherry tomatoes by the beautiful girl on the balcony, but has to leave in a rush after a family drama and never gets to meet his comedic Juliet. Fast forward almost a decade later and they find themselves meeting for the first time, but really for the second time, with a different type of family drama unfolding. While the cover is cute, I don't think it lends itself to the seriousness of the First Impression -- this book definitely has its cuter moments, but there's also a lot of grief being processed in the first few pages that isn't really translated by the "meet-cute" kind of cover provided. But this doesn't detract from the plot and I'm looking forward to seeing where this story goes.
