My first Kate Clayborn but certainly not my last! I normally am not a big fan of stories that start with the POV characters as kids and then flashforward, but I felt that this really worked here. It kind of creates a puzzle of how the characters became who they are as adults and sets up the romance nicely. I’m very eager to read more and will be reading Clayborn’s backlist in the meantime, until this book is available to read in full!
