Wow!! And I’ll say it again, wow!! This story was so powerful. It was a slow burn with a lot of edginess and heart stopping moments. I would categorize it as a suspense/domestic thriller. In the beginning there is a murder and this is not a spoiler. It is every parent’s nightmare. Combine teenagers, alcohol, drugs, sex and love and a tragedy is just around the corner. I really like how the story unfolded and how the author gave us insight into the lives and feelings of each character. The author made them real which made me the reader sympathize and understand. This is the story of the lengths a parent will go to protect their child and family. The story kept gathering momentum and I began to question what I thought I had figured out! Great characters, wonderful prose, and a mystifying plot. I do have a few questions near the ending but I believe this was aim of the author. I recommend.
