When a murder happens in an affluent neighborhood, many of the citizens begin to speculate about who is responsible and also who can be trusted among their neighbors and acquaintances. Soon the three teenagers who were partying with the victim the night of her death are being questioned about what really happened on that fateful night. Parents who wish to protect and shield their teenage children only complicate the investigation. The writing is well done allowing readers to be captivated into the story from the very beginning and their are twists and turns which readers will not expect to keep them turning pages and wondering who is responsible for the murder. Locust Lane us atmospheric, suspenseful, and pulse-pounding. The story would make a great movie or tv series as well. Fans of Dennis Lahane’s books will enjoy this story as well.
