Locust Lane was definitely a surprise! A small, wealthy town is shook after a 20 year old woman, Eden, is found dead and foul play is suspected. The whole book is about uncovering the mystery of her death, while also uncovering secrets that many residents of the town of Emerson hold. Both teenagers and adults alike have a plethora of secrets and it was exciting discovering these secrets as I read the book. I would definitely not describe this as a psychological thriller, but more as a mystery drama. I was able to figure out who the perpetrator was pretty early on, but nevertheless it was still extremely satisfying. Check out the content warnings beforehand because there were definitely a number of events and mentions throughout the book that could be triggering. Overall this was a great read. The small town drama and character development was on point!
