I’ll be honest. I tend to steer clear of thrillers described as “slow burn” but Locust Lane had me hooked. The characters were all fascinating and I enjoyed learning about each one, especially their flaws and secrets. I love books where the “perfect” neighborhood is just a facade. Things are definitely not how they appear on the surface in Locust Lane.

I felt all kinds of emotions while reading this one and there were parts that definitely made me super angry and frustrated with the characters and what was happening.

It would make a great book club book because there is so much to talk about and it would lead to discussions about many societal issues.

The ending still has me thinking about this book. Not sure how I feel about it because it has me feeling all sorts of emotions. If you like slow burn, character driven thrillers (and even if you don’t!), Locust Lane is one for your TBR.
