This was a substantive novel, thick with a well paced suspense fueled plot that is absorbing and satisfying throughout. The characters are a combination of likable and some you just want to step on like an ant. The characters are all intertwined in some way and seeing the effects of a murder on one person goes to show how it envelopes the whole town; and it can be disturbing. Not everyone is who you think they are, not your spouse, child, best friend, etc…. This story is almost impossible to tear yourself away from and I found it to be a thriller worth reading.

When a young girl, Eden is found murdered, the kids that were hanging with her that night become prime suspects into the investigation. Jack, the popular kid of a wealthy family with a past, his girlfriend, Hannah who seems to always be bruised and is dating Jack; is the daughter of an uninvolved dad and a stepmother who asks too many questions and then there is Christopher who was crushing on Eden and the son of a widower, Michel who owns the popular restaurant in town.

Is one of these kids the killer or are they harboring a secret to protect someone out of fear or love?
