So I had to DNF this bad boy because this year there is just way too much good stuff out there to try to push through anything.

The overall plot of this book seemed super interesting; a death in a rich suburban part of town, some kids are the main suspects and the parents are all in the mix. What I wanted more of was the story of the kids, the incident and their POV but instead it was from the parents perspectives who, while they had their own dilemmas, didn’t seem that interesting really. I also found some of the characters really dull and unlikeable and had a hard time finding who the protagonist was and who we should root for? Normally this type of story would be thrilling but I failed to connect with any one POV.

The writing itself wasn’t too bad just wasn’t a compelling read for me. I did find that some of the dialogue felt like filler and didn’t really add to the story which also felt like void space.
