This book was actually better than I thought when I wrote my first impression. There’s been a murder and it appears that three high school students are somehow involved. Jack is a bully who likes to embarrass his friends and suppress and hurt women. Hannah is his girlfriend, willing to be slapped around to protect her relationship. Christopher is a mild mannered guy willing to put up with the teasing and mistreatment at the hands of his friend Jack whose friendship keeps him from being invisible. One of them is supposedly the murderer. The ending was unexpected which doesn’t always happen with murder mysteries. The ending also made me angry which surprised me but it reinforced that sometimes justice isn’t served and privilege is padding against the world. There wasn’t one adult/parent in the entire story that I liked and I wouldn’t have minded if any one of them ended up in jail! A great mystery that kept me reading
