Locust Lane is a slow burn thriller that revolves around the death of a young woman in the affluent suburb of Emerson, Massachusetts. Three teens who were with the victim on the evening of her death become a part of the investigation. The story is told in multiple viewpoints of the parents and I think it works well here. The lives of the families involved are full of secrets, lies and scandal. I think that this book would appeal to readers who enjoy a slower paced domestic thriller with a lot of complex, intertwined characters. This is a thought provoking novel in many ways regarding the influence of wealth, power, and social media on the pursuit of justice. I thought there could have been something from the teens point of view that would have added to the story, I really didn't find much mystery or thrills, and I would have liked more of that in this book. Thank you to Celadon and BookishFirst for the ARC of the novel.
