The initial write up (probably on the jacket cover) had me very intrigued. I'd buy the book just from that.
The prologue captivated me. What just happened? A driver, a dog, and perhaps a mystery person. Now you really have me going.

Dialog seem real. Sometimes the book becomes over descriptive.
