Look Forward to Learning More
The First Look of Locust Lane by Stephen Amidon is an introduction of characters, parents/step-parent of interconnected young adults. The reader knows from the first few pages that a girl is dead, murdered. As the story unfolds, it is clear that their kids are lying to them, and the parents/step-parent are confused, but definitely concerned. The story is being told through the parents, and although this is a unique delivery, it might be less than effective to get the facts second-hand, especially suspects in a murder case. Perhaps that is the point though, if the novel is more about the parents’ actions than the kids. I look forward to finding out.
